          Fall 2020 Reopening

          七月 23, 2020 | 2 Av 5780

          Dear Barrack Community:

This is a summer of uncertainty. It is our hope that the status of community health in the Greater Philadelphia area will make in-person instruction on campus possible. At the same time, we acknowledge that COVID-19 is unpredictable, and that we must be prepared to respond adaptively to changing data and information.

We now have a complete architectural plan from Metcalfe Architecture and Design, who had been charged with strategically reviewing our facilities to maximize our ability to educate our students on campus, while ensuring optimal safety. With this information, we will be sending you our comprehensive Opening Plan, which includes all aspects of our return to school, on Friday, 七月 31.

To discuss the details of the plan, we look forward to holding a Parent Forum on Monday, August 17 at 7:00 PM. We will also be hosting a virtual community Town Hall with our Barrack Medical Advisors in mid-August. Please look out for the specific date and time for this event.

The Talmud teaches, “Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh Ba’Zeh,” We are each responsible for one another. As we prepare to come back to campus, please be very mindful that we are in a community together and that we must look out for each other.

We are asking families to maintain precautions even now, during the summer, including continuing social distancing, consistently wearing masks, and ensuring that we all report any symptoms of illness or potential virus exposure so that we can each do our part to keep our community healthy.

We look forward to sharing our Opening Plan with you next week. Stay safe.

          Shabbat Shalom.
